1. Introduction
Nurtovea ("we," "our," or "the App") is a baby care community platform operated by eBlessings (Technology Partner) and developed by apeAxe, in collaboration with Dr. Hina Baig. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the Nurtovea mobile application and related services.
By using Nurtovea, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
- Name, email address, phone number (optional) when you register
- Authentication tokens for login persistence
- Google account information if you use Google Sign-In
2.2 Baby Profile Information
- Baby's name, date of birth, gender
- Known allergens and medical notes
- Growth measurements (weight, height, head circumference)
- Meal logs and food reactions
- Baby photos (stored locally on your device, optionally synced)
2.3 Usage Data
- App feature usage patterns (which screens you visit)
- AI bot conversation history (for improving responses)
- Community feed posts and comments
- Live session attendance and chat messages
2.4 Device Information
- Device type, operating system version
- IP address (for rate limiting and security)
- We do NOT collect location data, contacts, or call logs
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide personalized diet plans based on your baby's age
- To generate AI-powered meal suggestions and growth tracking
- To enable the Nurtovea Baby bot to give age-appropriate advice
- To deliver meal reminders and notifications
- To facilitate community features (posts, comments, live sessions)
- To sync your data across devices when you sign in
- To improve our services and fix issues
- To communicate with you about app updates and Dr. Hina's content
4. Data Storage & Security
- Diet plans, growth data, and meal logs are stored locally on your device using encrypted SQLite database (Drift). They work fully offline.
- When you sign in, data can optionally sync to our secure cloud servers (MongoDB on a private VPS).
- Passwords are hashed using bcrypt (salt factor 10) — we never store plain text passwords.
- Authentication tokens are stored in Android Keystore (flutter_secure_storage).
- API communication is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.
- We use rate limiting and input validation to prevent abuse.
5. AI Bot & Conversations
- Conversations with the Nurtovea Baby bot are processed using AI (Claude by Anthropic).
- Your messages and baby context (name, age) are sent to our server for AI processing.
- We may cache common question-answer pairs to improve response speed.
- Bot conversations are stored locally on your device and optionally on our server for quality improvement.
- The bot provides educational information only — not medical diagnosis or prescriptions.
6. Live Streaming
- Live session streams are transmitted via our private RTMP/HLS infrastructure — not through YouTube or third-party platforms.
- Chat messages during live sessions are stored on our servers.
- Session recordings may be retained for premium member replay.
7. Third-Party Services
- Google Sign-In — for authentication (Google's Privacy Policy applies)
- YouTube Data API — for video content and comments (YouTube's Terms apply)
- Google Fonts — for typography (loaded from Google servers)
- We do NOT share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers
8. Data Retention
- Local data remains on your device until you uninstall the app or clear data.
- Cloud-synced data is retained as long as your account is active.
- If you delete your account, all associated cloud data is permanently deleted within 30 days.
- Bot conversation caches expire after 7 days.
9. Your Rights
- Access — You can view all your data within the app.
- Correction — You can edit your profile and baby information at any time.
- Deletion — You can delete your account from Settings, which removes all cloud data.
- Export — You can export growth reports as PDF from the app.
- Offline use — The core diet planner works fully offline without any data being sent to our servers.
10. Children's Privacy
Nurtovea is designed for parents and caregivers of babies and toddlers. The app is NOT intended for use by children. Baby profile information is entered and managed by parents/guardians. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
